Frequently Asked Questions

 

1) When is the tournament? The 16th Annual Houston Easter Invitational will be held the weekend of March 21-22, 2008 (Easter Weekend)

2) Will we play on Easter Sunday? No all games will be on Friday and Saturday.

3) What age groups will have brackets?  We will have U9 (6v6) & U10 (8v8) recreational brackets and U11 through U19 Competitive and Open brackets - for boys and for girls.  U11 will play 8v8 in both brackets.

4) Which bracket should our team play?  The Open brackets are the most competitive (highest level of play) and are designed for the Division 1 and top Super 2 teams.  The Competitive brackets are for the Division 2 and lower Super 2 teams.

5) How many players can we have on our roster?  The roster limit for the U9, U10 and U11 age groups is 12 players (max of 3 guest).  The roster limit for the U12 and up age groups is 18 players (max of 3 guest players).

6) What does it cost to enter a team?  The U9, U10 & U11 team fee is $325.  The U11 & up team fee is $450.

7) How many players can be on the field?  The U9 age groups will play in an 6v6 format (keeper plus 5 players).  The U10 & U11 age groups will play in an 8v8 format (keeper plus 7 players).  The U12 & up will play in an 11v11 (keeper plus 10 players).

8) What is the deadline for signing up a team? The team entry deadline is March 16, 2008.  Teams registering after that date are not guaranteed a spot in the tournament.

9) What happens if there is rain?  Check the rain-out line: (281)-894-8885.  Note: just because it is drizzling, don't assume the games have been cancelled.  If there is lightning, we will probably be in a delay or holding pattern.

10) What is the deadline for signing up a team: Monday March 16, 2008

11) What about team check-in?  Team check in will be at least 1 hour before your first game on Friday morning at the Main Tent (next to the concession stands)
